Music Mondays with HAMX

There is not much that Tim Hampton aka HAMX has not achieved in the world of music. An industry dynamo, one half of The Suicide Doors and an incredible solo artist, his decades of experience in the entertainment industry has seen him tick off some phenominal achievements, allowing him to showcase his talents at some of the biggest events on the planet.

An artist that thrives on human connection and delivering an authentic experience no matter the challenge, he combines the titles of International DJ, Music Producer, and Musical Director into a body of work that is truly astounding. At three separate Olympics, he curated the music that was the heartbeat of the games, becoming part of humanity’s legacy as it celebrated life together as one.

Tim’s DJ moniker “HAMX” is derived from his last name Hampton, and the Roman numeral for ten which is X. Based out of Los Angeles and born into a Jamaican household on the California coast, he was always surrounded by the constant beat of Dance, 90s R&B and HipHop with of course that Reggae beat of island life. That musical knowledge means he was the perfect DJ to provide the musical backdrop for the NBA, The US Open, LA Pride Festival and more; the roll-call is endless. Working with A-list celebrities including Prince, the Black Eyed Peas along with many iconic brands, his career is a stellar exclamation mark of achievements.

With his partner in crime DJ Roueche from The Suicide Doors, HAMX elevated his DJ persona to the next level. Together they produced a litany of hits that reflected the eclectic nature of the world they lived in. Remixing tracks for Alicia Keys, Imagine Dragons, & MKTO amongst many others, their decade together produced irresistible tracks loved by the world over.

HAMX is now shifting gears and pursuing a career as a solo artist firmly focused on pure unadulterated House Music. Embodying this genre that embraces Love, Inspiration, Community and having a damn good time, HAMX is bringing down the House in every way imaginable. Dropping his latest singles “Tap If You Like It” and “Remember Who You Are”, he is sealing his reputation as an artist that delivers time and time again. With the release of his EP titled “You Are Love”, HAMX aims to present a body of work that not only connects us on a human level but also challenges his listeners to look within and see truly that YOU ARE LOVE.

With throbbing bass, infectious beats and vocal hooks, migrating between Deep House, Melodic, plus flourishes of EDM and Electro, his signature is clearly evident in everything he touches. There is no better place to be than in the dancefloor kingdom of HAMX. If it’s Love, Peace and Unity that you are after, then let him reign!
